I am Rajni, the better half of Yogesh. We are the CoupleOnBike-the best buddies! From casual friends to business partners and then life partners, our journey together has been a joyride. It all started with a casual friendship and today we have come a long way. Now, the two friends are exploring the world together on their bike (Royal Enfield Classic 350).
I hail from ‘The Queens Of Hills’, Shimla and Yogesh is from ‘Pink City’, Jaipur. We both are bloggers by profession. Our freelancing profession offers us the flexibility of time and we don’t have to stick to our seats for long hours. This is one reason why we are able to fulfill our passion.
‘Why stick to ROUTINE, when you can FOLLOW YOUR HEART’? Is our motto.
Coming to how it continued. We were online friends and met each other for the first time in Delhi and then went to Goa for vacations with friends. Till then we didn’t have any plans of settling down together. In Goa, we had hired Royal Enfield 350 and explored many places in Goa. That was the first time I took the Royal Enfield ride. God probably, was giving some hints. There and then we came to know that we shared the same passion for bikes!
From there, began our journey. After getting married, our first ride was to Sariska followed by Kumbalgarh, Amritsar, Shimla, Mussoorie, Manali, Leh Ladhak, Rishikesh, Lahaul Spiti, Chanshal Pass, Chandratal Lake, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Mount Abu, Renuka Lake and the list goes on.
After having traveled to all nooks and corners of the country, we wanted a platform to share our travel stories with the world and from there the idea of ‘CoupleOnBike’ was conceived.
We believe that a bad day on the mountain terrains is better than a good day in the office. Yogesh and I are not nine to five type of people who can sit back for hours to work continuously without enjoying life to the fullest. For us, any celebration, special day calls for a bike ride. We believe in flexibility, expanding our horizons and exploring the world. On our special days, we go on rides, big or small doesn’t matter.
Before meeting Yogesh, little did I know about the various types of bikes, gears, manufacturers, little hacks to be kept in mind while on bike rides, various kinds of tools. All thanks to him that I have a good know-how of these things. Machines now attract me.
When I was in Shimla, I didn’t even know how to ride a bicycle, but I learned how to ride a bicycle, Scooty and Royal Enfield in Jaipur. I dream of traveling around the world with Yogesh, not as a pillion rider..but as a co-rider. Two separate bikes, two souls, one world!
